What time do I have access to the venue?

Venue access time will be dependent on your package and these times will be outlined on your contract.

What time do my guests need to exit the premises ?

This will be determined by your package and these times will be outlined on your contract.

Do you offer catering?

Cross Iron Acres does not offer a catering service. We want you to be able to customize this experience to your taste.

What cleaning am I responsible for?

Please take out whatever you bring in and leave the venue how you found it. We will take care of the sanitation of the washrooms. A check list for clean up will be provided to you upon arrive.

Can we have fireworks?

No fireworks are permitted at Cross Iron Acres

Will there be someone from Cross Iron Acres to assist me?

Cross Iron Acres will always have someone to assist you with anything venue related, but we are not responsible for the execution of your event.  We do suggest you purchase a coordination pacakge.

How many people will the tent accommodate?

Our Clear span tent is 18M x 20M and has enough seating included in packages for 200 guests (capacity for 250 guests).

Do we need a liquor license?

Yes all liquor must be served by an insured and duly authorized bartender. You are responsible for insuring all necessary permits are purchased and laws relating to the service and consumption of alcohol are followed. Your commercial liquor permit can be purchased online at  SLGA.com 

 Because Cross Iron Acres is an outdoor venue, a written letter of approval is required from the RM of Moose Jaw. Please contact Mike Wirges at Rm161@sasktel.net

Do we need to get insurance ?

You must secure and maintain for the duration of the rental period special event liability insurance and (in the event alcohol will be served) party alcohol liability insurance in an amount not less than $2,000,000.00 coverage. 

 

You will need to list Cross Iron Acres as an additional insured. Our physical site address is NW 9-18-26 W2

Is there camping onsite ?

We do not offer onsite camping. Buffalo pound provincial park is approximately 15 minutes away and they have a campground. Find them at  https://parks.saskatchewan.ca/

What is the best way to give our guests directions to Cross Iron Acres?

If coming from Moose Jaw head North on highway 2 towards Buffalo Pound Lake. We are located on the corner of Highway 2 and 8 mile road.

How much is the deposit?

A non refundable deposit in an amount of $2000 is to be paid immediately upon signing our rental agreement.

A refundable damage deposit in the amount of $1,000 must be provided 60 days prior to the beginning of the rental period.  

What are your venue rules?

We have a few simple rules that, we ask you and your guests to abide by:
1. Treat our venue and grounds with respect. Keep garbage in the garbage bins, and bodily fluids in the bathrooms! Excessive cleaning requirements will result in charges taken from your damage deposit.
2. Smoking is only permitted in the designated areas. Please keep all cigarette butts in the ashtrays provided.
3. Our pumpkin patch is off limits.

4.You will be liable for any damage or theft by your guests.
5.We ask that you take out whatever you bring in and leave the facility as close to how you found it.

6. Children are to be supervised at all times. No children are permitted behind the tent outside of the white fence.
7. Under no circumstances are tent panels to be pulled apart, undone or altered in any way, shape or form Without consent from Cross Iron Acres. 
8.In front of our building may be used as a loading zone only. Cars are to be parked in the parking lot. 

Failure to follow any of our rules will result in charges taken from your damage deposit.
